Rob Meyer

 
 

Rob received his MFA at NYU's graduate film program. His short, AQUARIUM, played at over 60 festivals internationally and has won more than 20 awards, including an Honorable Mention at Sundance. In addition to AQUARIUM, Rob has directed several acclaimed films including SAM'S TAIL, a branded short for Heineken that was broadcast on the Independent Film Channel. He also made a behind-the-scenes documentary of THE GOOD SHEPHERD, directed by Robert De Niro, and worked at HBO on the two-hour documentary ADDICTION. Prior to his studies at NYU, Rob was an Associate Producer for PBS's NOVA and National Geographic. He worked extensively in the field on Emmy and Peabody award-winning documentaries in Nepal, Antarctica, Alaska, and Egypt. A graduate of Yale University, Rob has a joint degree in Humanities and Studies in the Environment. He also plays the violin, and has performed with the Yale Symphony and Boston Philharmonic Orchestras. His first feature, A BIRDER’S GUIDE TO EVERYTHING, is in development with Crossroads Films. He is represented by Lee Keele and Scott Yoselow at The Gersh Agency, and Rosalie Swedlin at Industry Entertainment.
